Welcome to the passport information page   IMPORTANT NOTICE Applicant must be Afghan and be able to provide Afghan National Identity Card (Tazkira). In case of lack of identity card, he/she has to provide a written guarantee from two Afghans for confirmation of nationality. If the applicant is not able to provide the written guarantee above, the embassy will refer the application to the Ministry of Interior of Afghanistan for approval Requirements for issuing New Passport      - Completed Passport Application Form      - Two passport size photos taken within the past 3 months    - Passport application fee for 1 year is USD $24       (USD $20 for one year fee validity plus USD $4 for passport book)    - Ordinary Afghan passport can be extended for 5 years with the fee of USD $104    - The Embassy does not issue new business passport Requirements for Passport Extension      - Completed Passport Application Form    - Two passport size photos taken within the past 3 months    - Original passport    - Extension fee for one year is USD $21. Ordinary Afghan passport can be extended for 5 years      with the fee of USD $101    - Extension of business passport with valid business trade license is available (Fee as above)
